Come and work with some of Ireland's few remaining traditional shipwrights refitting Ireland’s sole surviving sea–going sailing ship.
Sail Training
The AK Ilen School is now an affiliated Vessel Operator to Sail Training Ireland for Youth Development.
Our target for training is to have taken 50 young people to sea, under sail and in a learning environment, by 2015. These young people will be tomorrow's participants in the annual Tall Ships Races, sailing in Ireland's name.
We shall soon be looking for participants in sail training for 2011-12.
