Boat Craft Competition

The good ship Ilen and her crew, like all of us, must for now stay home. Happily, the Ilen crew have embarked on a fun voyage of the imagination. It’s a boat craft and home voyage which we invite you to come on board with.

Ilen Salmon’s Wake Tetra Pak Boat Craft Competition

Please download the instructions on how to make a Ilen Tetra Pak Sail Boat. Or use this as inspiration to make your own Ilen ship, using upcycled materials you have around the house. The only requirement is for the square sail to feature the red ‘Salmon’s Wake’ symbol of a wild migratory salmon in the ocean – the logo of the Ilen Project’s Salmon’s Wake Educational Programme. It depicts a salmon in a bold graphic style while taking its inspiration from ancient Irish and Inuit folk-art motifs.
